Amazon presented the Amazon Ads MCP Server as an open beta on February 2, 2026. The following information comes from this announcement by Amazon Ads. As of October 2026.
- What it is: According to Amazon, the server connects AI agents with functions of the Amazon Ads API and translates natural-language prompts into structured API calls. It is based on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard.
- For whom: Amazon states that the open beta is available worldwide to Amazon Ads partners with active API credentials.
- With which AI systems: Amazon names custom agents and AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
- What agents can do: create, update or delete campaigns, run performance and reporting queries, manage account-level settings and access billing and financial data.
- Ready-made tools: Amazon describes tools that bundle several steps into one action: creating accounts, generating reports, launching campaigns and expanding them to new locales. As an example, Amazon names a complete Sponsored Products campaign that only needs to be reviewed and approved.
This is an important foundation. Amazon's announcement does not describe dedicated bid rules for Amazon PPC, a test run, a change history or undoing changes. How this is solved depends on the connected agent and its setup.
