Hello everyone,
the time has come again: the Butler has listened to you and is delivering!
In the night from Sunday to Monday our latest update goes live and gives you tools that will revolutionise your Amazon Ads management. We are talking about new KPIs, more transparency and even better control options.
Let us dive straight into the details!
Even more control: existing KPIs can now be used on ALL levels
You asked for it – we are making it possible: from now on you can use product variables and change KPIs for placements & campaign budgets as well. Without any restrictions.
In concrete terms, this means:
- Adjust placements in a more targeted way: Only adjust your placements once new clicks have also been added. Use a valid number of clicks here, depending on the traffic or the number of keywords you have in the campaigns.
- Control campaign budgets more smartly: You can now simply adjust your campaign budgets with the help of product variables that already exist. That means more precision and less manual effort.
New on board: three new KPIs for even better strategies
IS-Share (Impression Share) for SP & SB
Visible at last: how much visibility does your target really have?
Until now, for “targets without visibility” you had to make do with absolute values such as impressions < 500. From now on it is more precise:
impressionShareCustom1 < 25
This is not only clearer, but also makes much more sense strategically. Because: visibility is relative. 500 impressions say nothing if the rest have millions. With the IS-Share you can now see immediately which targets are really disappearing from your target group’s field of vision.
Perfect for:
- Launch phases without our KW tracker
- Target reactivation in the event of a creeping loss of visibility
- Identifying “targets without visibility” with real relative values
Practical example:
Instead of hoping that 500 impressions “mean something”, you steer specifically towards real presence and bring your keywords into the visible area.
targetCreated
How old is your target? Now you know.
This new KPI gives you the option of segmenting targets by their age and controlling them specifically.
Use targetCreated for:
- Building up newly harvested keywords in a targeted way
- Distinguishing between manually added vs. freshly transferred targets
- Building up new targets in a more targeted way and not pausing them too early
Clever application:
Some of you regularly clean up your account with rules such as: “Impressions (of the last 60 days) > 2000 and clicks (of the last 60 days) = 0”
To avoid mistakenly catching new keywords here, you now simply combine this with:
targetCreated >= 90 and impressionShareCustom1 >= 10
This now gives you certainty that the target really is irrelevant – provided you are not doing it in the off-season.
Units
Now also: units ordered available – not just orders
This metric opens up completely new analysis options for you and helps you to understand purchasing behaviour better.
Example of use:
ordersLastThirty < unitsLastThirty
Discover targets where customers more often buy more than 1 unit – a strong indication of products with high cross-selling potential or particular appeal.
More traceability: rule performance at a glance
No more laborious filtering!
In future you can see at a glance which rule was applied how often in the last 7 days. This does away with the laborious filtering of the update overview.
You see exactly:
- Which keyword was processed by which rule
- How often the rule was applied
- What effects your automation has
That means: more transparency, better control and faster optimisation of your rule strategies.
